Yes, you know that this post is going to be a hoot because the title is so exciting. Well, you'll see!
I haven't been up to too much since my last post - just a couple of things to pass the time whenever I'm not at work. Work itself is actually going very smoothly; I had no trouble settling into a routine and stepping into the rhythm of the workplace. I guess the most surprising thing is that I don't have that itch to head back to school - which others warned me about.
I suppose my overall comfort could be attributed to a decently-balanced life, in regards to work and otherwise. Over the summer, I was able to travel a bit (other than to Asia), and I finally got the chance to catch up on stuff I've missed in Vancouver during my university years.
Of course, I went to see the fireworks in English Bay during the Celebration of Light. The event certainly has gotten bigger in the past few years, with an average attendance of 400,000 per show! As such, it was crazy getting around all the people, but the breathtaking displays of dancing lights were worth it. China's display, a preview of what they might show at the 2008 Olympics, was definitely the best - turning classic fireworks into innovative art through creative timing and placement. It's hard to describe in words, but unfortunately, I forgot to snap photos that night.

Besides the fireworks, I also drove out to see the Abbotsford Air Show, featuring the (in)famous Snowbirds. Throughout the day, various aircrafts could be seen zooming around the clouds - making deafening roars as they flew close to the ground. It was pretty cool to see all of the jets up close - the stealth fighter especially, since I've heard about it so often in movies and the like.

Despite the meager amount of sunshine in Vancouver, I still found some time to hit the beach - in California! My trip down to California included a very relaxing afternoon at the beach, soaking up much-needed Vitamin D while listening to the waves crashing on the shore. Only one regret followed me from that day - I somehow failed to tan even one iota! That just means I'll have to try harder next time.

More recently, I found time to head to the PNE, the (better) Westcoast version of the CNE! I didn't indulge in my love for rollercoasters, but saw a convincing magic show and laughed during the entertaining Superdogs show. There was also a new night show that incorporated pyrotechnics with music which was a nice way to end the day. I also caught a glimpse of the world record holder for card stacking!

Anyway, I guess that's it from me for now.
