Within the past few years, I've gotten fairly used to airports - usually finding myself catching a flight at least once every three or four months, if not more frequently. As such, I'm pretty accurate with my estimates of how long it takes to drive to the airport, the appropriate amount of time for dinner before boarding, etc. Today was no different. Normally, you're supposed to reach the terminal at least one hour before your flight, so leaving at 5:00 made sense. Of course, I checked in online and filled out my customs form already, so the only thing left for me to do was print my boarding pass after I reached YVR. What I didn't anticipate was the worst gridlock anyone could imagine. All bridges leading to Richmond were conveniently jammed due to accidents. Yes, all roadways.
