Since my last post, I've gone through a couple of stages in my recovery. As soon as I was able to, I went back to work and reduced my intake of painkillers. This allowed me to work without being nauseous 24/7, but obviously did nothing to ease the pain. Although I was able to withstand the constant aching and soreness, I was unprepared to deal with the increased swelling. I did not know that the medication was also anti-inflammatory. When I reduced the dosage and frequency of intake, I thought I would only feel an increased amount of pain. In reality, the pain levels did rise, but my leg also started swelling and throbbing. Thus, for a couple of days, my recovery took a turn for the worse. Yesterday, I decided to take my medication at more regular intervals. Instead of taking the painkillers at breakfast, lunch, and dinner; I switched to taking them every 8 hours. I also upped the dosage back to 1 and a half Tylenol 3 pills.
