It's been quite the flurry of events these past couple of weeks!
Up until January 17, all of my classmates (including myself) were rushing to finish our respective fourth year design projects in time for the annual Symposium. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, it refers to the ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering) Design Symposium, which showcases all the fourth year students' design projects. In preparation for the big day, we had to design and print a poster, design and rehearse a seminar presentation, and create a demonstration to present at our booth. In the end, our new form of peer-to-peer communication was perfected and showed to all in brilliant glory - attracting the likes of Microsoft and even a venture capitalist!
Being awarded 3rd best overall came as a complete, and welcome, surprise; but that was entirely eclipsed by a phone call that came during the Symposium. The voice on the other end was none other than the HR from PMC-Sierra, telling me that yes indeed, I got the job! The very same Mixed Signal Layout position, for which I endured a 3-hour interview!
Today, I officially signed the papers and am now set to be a full-time PMC employee come July 3!

And yeah... hopefully we'll be working together again, Scott! Are you definitely going back to PMC?
That makes (at least) 2!
