Why do people always say that college years are the best years of your life? Maybe they hate their job, or feel tied down - because I do not share their opinion.
Last week was hell in a handbasket - it came in the form of 3 labs, the usual course work, and organizing the kick-off meeting for UW ASIC. Two of the morning labs were tolerable, but one was infuriating. I don't want to hash out the gory details, but let's just say that by no stretch of the imagination could you consider my behavior in a lab playful or inattentive.
Since my schedule was pretty packed (add class rep meetings to the labs), I typically had 9-hour days with no break for lunch. On Thursday, because of my night class, I had a 14-hour day with no breaks for lunch or dinner. No, I'm not complaining - I'm just stating facts.
I can at least be thankful there are 7 days in a week, 2 of which are allotted for the weekend. On Friday night, I went out for dinner with some people from class and pigged out on the oh-so-good soup and bread at East Side Mario's. Then, on Saturday, I continued the trend of slacking and proceeded to watch the Australian Open instead of working. Well, that's not entirely true - I tried to work while watching Federer, but it was impossible!
Anyway, it's back to the grindstone for me.
